[ppb_header size=”one” title=”Short Description:” titlecolor=”” slug=”” subtitle=”” width=”100″ textalign=”left” bgcolor=”” fontcolor=”” padding=”40″ margin_top=”-20″ margin_right=”” margin_bottom=”” margin_left=”” custom_css=”” ]Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a bridge technology that could help achieve the drastic cut on CO2 emissions needed to meet the objectives of the 2015 Paris Agreement. Within the CCS chain, CO2 geological storage is more complex and more challenging. A successful CO2 geological storage project requires scientific and technical knowledge from many fields, from geology and geophysics to social science and economy. All of this knowledge combined can ensure safe and permanent storage of CO2 in the geological environment at a fair price with the acceptance of the public.
Therefore, we invite all academia, industry, and policymakers to share their expertise and the challenges addressed in any of the fields related to CO2 geological storage.[/ppb_header]
